Ipad In My HandMay 14, 2010 – 12:41 pm |

This morning, I watched Arrested Development streaming through Netflix in a vivid, crisp HD format. I can play some Gregory Isaacs and mix it up with Bassekou Kouyateh, Japandroids, and Young Jeezy with rich, mellifluous tones. I read the Wall Street Journal, then click on the Kindle application and download the latest from Mat Johnson for my summer book stack. I can upload pictures by beaming them through my Macbook Pro iPhoto. I can’t take photos, though. I let the battery drain to zero, and it takes a long, long time to do so. I wish that it had a USB port, but in life, you can’t have everything. Besides, Steve Jobs will install one along with a camera next year now that all the Apple zealots have two of them at their disposal. I play Pinball by leveling the console in all types of contortions. The device feels a lot smaller than reviewers have stated in the press.
I hate to say it, but they have done it again.
The iPad is a dream for interactive marketers. Mobile applications also have a device to build a powerhouse industry of media. Blueliner can only be excited at the possibilities available to clients with this device. Publishers may actually stay afloat for once. E-commerce opportunities will increase due to future partnerships. This economy will make it difficult to justify the price point to those with a MacBook or PC, but if you are a frequent traveler for business and pleasure, the iPad will double that indeed.
